Dan Workman, here.

Thanks for visiting this site. I'm extremely passionate about making great sounding records.

I used to say, "I am not the type of producer who imparts 'My Sound' to a project", well,...I was wrong. I'm reversing my position after having the obvious pointed out to me by dear friends and associates. I still respect what is great in a song, and build upon those strengths, but I've come to realize that my 'value-added' contributions are a big part of what I do.

My communication skills are excellent. If I have any gift, it is the ability to get people to talk freely about their music. I excel at breaking through "band deadlock" where uncomfortable topics prevent musical progress. Once trust is established, and we learn the grammar and vocabulary for sharing our musical thoughts, the songs begin to tell us what they need--every single time.

I love creating the right team of people to fit a project's needs: I have wonderful engineers, co-producers, musicians, arrangers, techs, and tuners who make themselves available to work on my productions.

If you want to hear examples of my work, check out my Soundcloud page or simply google me. If you want to hear more, contact me at 832.390.1257, or at dan at danworkman.com, and I will provide downloads or hardcopy. More important, I can put you in touch with some of my recent clients and you can talk to them.

The Love,
Dan
